Samuel Brewer has been a study coordinator at CORE Inc. since 2022. He graduated from the Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in psychology and has worked in healthcare since 2016. Sam was born in Phoenix, AZ and moved to North Carolina in 2021 where he soon started working for Dr. Vollmer. 

Sam has a huge heart and love for all people- he is the lead study coordinator on an Ora pediatric myopia trial at CORE and all the kids love his kindhearted and patient nature. One of Sam’s favorite parts of working at CORE is being able to contribute to the advancement of ocular research.  

In his free time, Sam enjoys martial arts and fitness as well as hiking with his dog, Embla. He also enjoys backpacking and camping across the North Carolina mountains. On his trips, he enjoys stargazing and is an amateur astronomer.  Sam also enjoys longboarding in his free time and on his lunch breaks at work.
